Day 7 Itinerary
A Farmer at the top of the Eiffel Tower.
Our last official tour day but since we didn't have to fly out until the next morning we said a teary goodbye to 23 people who had become friends and added so much to our magical week in Paris and then we took off to see IT. The Eiffel Tower. And after that we simply wandered, up and down streets, in and out of shops, around the area that had been our home for the past week.
A few nights earlier I had dreamt that Mike and I had gone home early. In the dream we were fighting, the kids were in trouble, the farm was falling apart. I looked at Mike in the dream and cried, "Why did we come home?!" When I woke up and we were still in Paris, I was overjoyed!
Now, as we took our farewell walk around the 'hood, we were ready to go home. The trip had been everything we hoped for and more. Mike looked at me a smiled.
"We should do this every five years, or so." he said.
"Oh, honey!" I replied. "I'll never make it that long."
We're planning on spending a week in London next. And then? Who knows? After all, "How You Gonna Keep 'Em Down on the Farm Once They've Seen Paree?"
